Oscar Arbello writes ‘The Smallest Non-For-Profits Should Have The Most Powerful Brands’.

What motivates a Company to endorse and financially support a charity? Is it the level of public exposure and recognition the Brand will receive, or is it the genuine belief that their financial contribution is creating change in peoples lives?

The advantage of supporting Micro Grassroots organisations is that they already have authentic relationships, stories, and characters in the form of the people that attend their programs.

Soccajoeys Next Step Foundation is a Micro Grassroots Community charity. Micro meaning, we work towards the following;

1)    Preparation – identify the needs of families in the community and analyse the activities they require to improve their living.

2)    Planning – Select an activity that families can do to meet their needs

3)    Implementation – Doing the activity and providing continuity, so families see longevity in the work.

4)    Review – Reporting on the success or problems in the activity when attempting to meet their needs.

With an increasing number of young children being diagnosed with a range of medical disorders, families need supportive resources in their local community to gain assistance and help. The need for Early Interventions professionals is critical, but so is the need for community-based sports programs to be experienced and equipped to offer the necessary support to families that want their child to experience the benefits of being involved in a local sporting group.

Micro Grassroots Charities provide Brands with the opportunity to connect directly with families, to build relationships and to see instantaneous results. The Brand will receive exposure, but more importantly it will have a lasting impact on the lives of our most vulnerable children.
